Introduction: Last time we looked at Who Jesus says He is in His "I Am" statements. John 6-15 Today we look at entering into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 19:16-20:16 #1058
Proposition: We are called to give ourselves over to Jesus.
T.S.: We see that some follow Jesus first in life, some last in life.
I. We are called to give up everything to follow Jesus to eternal life.

-Question posed to Jesus, what good thing must I do to be saved? Hosea 6:6 #969
-What must I check off in order to enter the kingdom of heaven? James 2 #1292
-One thing that is lacking, heart is not right with God.
-Idol is the possessions this person has. Matthew 6:19-24 #1041
-Disciples looking at blessings wrong, if rich can't be saved who can?
-Worldly possessions are temporary, the kingdom of Heaven is everlasting.
II. We are called to be a worker for the Lord.
-Matthew 20:1-16 #1058
-We must continue the work for our Lord because His payment is great.
-God calls each of us at different stages in our life.
-Let us rejoice when someone answers the call. Luke 15 #1122
-God's generosity is great, let us share it with the world.
Let us give up all our idols by seeking God first and work for Him always.
